We are three New York City photographers working primarily in the documentary and street photography traditions. Simultaneously we acquired the "G" series Canon point-and-shoot camera. We found ourselves inspired by the playful and creative qualities of this unobtrusive tool. Our personal journeys as photographers are mostly solitary, so we joined to create The G Road as a platform for free-form collective visual expression. Gradually we began a dialogue that plays like a card game, a piece of music or a free flowing conversation. We respond to each other's photos through form, content or, at our best with a synthesis of both. As we move forward on our journey, taking into consideration the ever-changing technology, it is likely that we will utilize other picture making tools.
